Yakobi Island is an island in the Alexander Archipelago of southeastern Alaska, United States. Off Deer Harbor, almost any fish can be caught, including halibut. This location has several areas that are referred to as "chicken patches”, which are where the halibut are small but often numerous.

In 2001, TPL worked with the Nature Conservancy of Alaska, the Goldman Foundation and the United States Forest Service to acquire 156 acres of former mining sites for permanent conservation and then donated them to the Tongass National Forest.
